For Your Information
& To Better Your Enjoyment:
During the Parade, which lasts usually under an hour, the parking along
the parade route is scarce and the roads are closed. Plan on arriving early and
parking at the Territorial Days Park. To find the park, click
here. It is easy to locate in this small town of Amboy, but be wary
because it is an ever increasing popular event attracting visitors from afar.
Record crowds, especially on Saturday, may surprise you so be patient. The Celebration
Committee has improved parking, but it may take a little while to get into the
lot. The two biggest events attended are
the Logging Show on Saturday and the Lawn Mower Races on Sunday. The Logging
Show on Saturday brings in huge crowds and it is advisable to come early in
order to get easier access and best seating.
While the most of the park is in underneath a lush evergreen wooded area,
the Carnival and much of the Waser Arena does have considerable sun. Waser arena
hosts both the Logging Show & the Lawn Mower Races. Be prepared and bring
sun protection for these events and arrive particularly early if you are looking
for shade.
For Health and Safety Concerns, Please Note:
PETS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE PARK DURING THE CELEBRATION!
Amboy Territorial Park is owned & operated by the
residents of this area. It is not affiliated with any government nor special
interest group. The park is supported, in the most part by this July
celebration, the main fund raiser and by the user fees for the larger events
throughout the year.
